Sarah Gardner of Marketplace recently chatted with Mike Cohn of Mountain Goat Software about the rise of daily standup meetings in today’s workplace.

FBI Issues Requirements to its Cloud Vendors

Thu, 02/09/2012 - 17:42

Even though the tech world seems so gung-ho about the rise of cloud computing, potential security issues seem to be stressing out the FBI. Computerworld reports that all cloud vendors doing business with U.S. law enforcement agencies must now abide by the “ FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) security requirements.”

Mozilla Developing Push Notifications

Mon, 02/06/2012 - 15:10

If you work as a developer on a website, you probably know how annoying it is to be able to successfully communicate site updates to your loyal followers. I attribute this to the limitations of the technology that a site is built upon (for example: a content management system that malfunctions when trying to send automatic emails to users).  Mozilla’s development of “push notifications” just might solve this dilemma. According to Mozilla, “push notifications are a way for websites to send small messages to users when the user is not on the site.”
